To join the psalmist in this exclamation:
“for I find my delight in your commandments, which I love. I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.” (Psalms 119:47-48 ESV)
The discipline of sitting and reading God’s love letter to us forms our mind.
We may not get it at first, but like the waves gradually change a coast line, His word gradually changes us. Sit and read and you will grow to find delight in His word. This is one fruit of the discipline of reading.
