From the “Shema,” I offer these questions to ask God about myself:
What do the words that come from my mouth tell me about the condition of my heart?
What do my fears tell me about what I REALLY believe and thus the true state of my soul?
What are the ways I am renewing my mind?
Which of my activities are drawing my strength away from serving God?
Lord, please show me and change me, I can’t, you must.
This weekend, I’ll be visiting friends and ministry partners in San Jose, CA. On Saturday afternoon at 5, I’ll be speaking at Twin Oaks Church! This church has been a faithful partner of CEO for a long time. We are grateful for their partnership in the Gospel. If you’re in the neighborhood, come by!
Come by and say hi if you’re nearby!!! click HERE to find the church.
(honestly, I’ve not looked carefully… my friend Mark S. suggested it but I needed a place to file it)
Since we are an organization that depends on God working in and through lots of people, we are often asking for help. These days I am focused on that a lot.
So, I thought that in addition to Fb and Twitter, I should say a few words on the blog about helping us in the easiest way I know. By voting for us. How? Simply by going to our page at GivingOfLife and voting for us (up to 5 times! – but that’s a bit more than just a click).
By voting for us, you help put us in the running for some grant money of between $2,000 and $50,000! All you have to do is vote! You can learn more at
The next thing you can do is spread the word for us. Using your social network, you can, from our page at GivingOfLife tell folks about us via Twitter and Fb.
You can also “like” Fb posts that I and others put up about this endeavor and retweet our tweets.
All good things must come to an end and this good thing ends in early November, so its not too late!
So, please join our cause, we believe its a good cause and need your participation.
We also need your financial partnership, but you knew that already and that’s for another day.
