The Season of the Incarnation

Slowly consider this teaching from late in Paul’s life… as he instructed Titus to bring order to a disorderly community, he reminded them of how to, and why they should, live for the Incarnate Son of God:

“For the grace of God has appeared,

bringing salvation for all people,

training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions,

and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

(Titus‬ ‭2:11-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Incarnation Day

The Son of God took on flesh to be our savior. To make this New Covenant with us.

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”” (Jeremiah‬ ‭31:33-34‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Rejoice!

Taking steps…

From yesterday:

A few inch long steps in the will of God outpace great strides in man’s strength.

Waiting, hoping for the coming…

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
