A long time ago a USA car rental company had a slogan based on their No. 2 status: “We try harder”.

Well in revtomtravels’ estimation Egypt Air is trying harder and in my raking is now my #2 airline, bumping Lufthansa to #3. Don’t worry AirFrance, you’re still safely in dead last.

Egypt won my vote not because of new equipment but care for the customer and pretty close to on time performance. Admittedly, they are a brand new entry and I could change my tune when I fly back to Budapest next week. And admittedly, Lufthansa dropped a rung because they have just delayed me one time too many. Indeed, on time performance the end of July could win back the #2 spot, but all that remains.

Oh, #1? British Airways still.
