this morning, my friend Sam read me the text where Jesus said to leave the 99 and go after the 1 who has wandered away… who is the 1 in your life that you need to go after and bring back into the fold?

provision and expectation
The Scripture says with God all things are possible. So we believe that, right? Or do we? In this job, my faith in texts like that get tested… alot. This is especially true since I like to keep everything in control. But God often has other and better plans. This week was no different. God has been on the move. Providing. Orchestrating. Guiding. Surprising. And working on my heart in the meantime, guiding my heart, molding it, changing it. Thanks be to God for providing and teaching me to not expect, ‘cuz I can’t expect good enough from Him. I could never have expected the good He provided.

What if…
What if you could only get on-line once a day. How would that effect you? How would you deal with wondering if this or that had happened? Did so and so agree to do X? What is going on with this or that project? Where can I find a secure wifi connection to do my banking? Sound’s odd in 2012 doesn’t it? Well, right now and for the foreseeable future, that is part of my deal. I step into and linger at my local Starbucks or McDonald’s to give my phone time to connect to wifi and update email, and, in the case of today, this post, which I wrote ahead of time.
I am thankful for free wifi and my phone’s technology! God is good. But if you’ve wondered why I don’t respond to you as quickly as I did at home, now you know why.

Stream of Love
This morning (Tuesday the 24th… need wifi – not sure when this will post. I awoke to the sound of barking dogs and crowing roosters. I’m in a different world, I’m in the countryside of Ukraine.
I realized a couple of things this morning. First, I am in a place of peace in a potential place for rest. There is no Internet near here, the is nothing to clean or organize. There is just time, two days of it with only a few brief talks to give. I think I am here to rest up a bit. Second, this year is the tenth year, this is the tenth camp season sice we helped the church here to buy the camp. Praise God!
