Jesus understands
I’ve been a student of the letter to the Hebrews for a really long time. If I could only take one letter the proverbial island, this might be it, not least because of this paragraph:
“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV)
He understands.
Abide in him.

Joining hands
Today Anna and I drove to Harrisonburg (VA) to enjoy a Ukrainian lunch at the Slavic Christian Church. The youth group was running the show to collect donations to help Ukraine!

The turn out was great! We waited in a 1/2 mile line long to get in!

While there I got to visit with a friend of 20+ years, who is originally from Vinnytsia. Andri’s dad, Sergiy is a key partner over there. This is a great family who give it all to the Lord.

Thank you for praying, please don’t stop.
Thank you for staying informed, please continue.
Thank you for giving, every dollar helps.

Scripture send…
Many mornings I send Scriptures to colleagues. Here’s some texts from this morning.
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. …
… And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:3-6, 9-11 ESV)
As you pray, as your heart and soul moan for Ukrainians, who suffer so much, as you give, you show love.
Thank you.
