The wind and rain slowly eroded this volcano after it stopped erupting. Geologists estimate it may have stood at 15,000 feet at its peak, today it is 10,000+. The crater is enormous, at 2 x 7 miles. This view taught me deeply about ‘awe.’
This mountain of rock wears away like all things on earth.
But, fellow disciple…
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” - Jesus (Matthew 24:35)
