As part of training the heart and mind, it is helpful to dwell on God as our heads hit our pillows. Contemplating His greatness, speaking praise to His name. Then in the middle of the night do the same, upon awaking, praying ourself back to sleep as a child in the lap of a loving Father.
“My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.” Psalms 63:5-7 ESV
Then, as the day dawns, our training bears fruit… thinking and praising Him as we awake.
Aim at Heaven y’all!
