a pleasant surprise

Back when I taught my seniors why I trust the Scriptures, my argument was based on ancient manuscripts of the Bible. When I took the gang to London later in the year I carried them into the British Library to see the oldest complete New Testament, “Codex Sinaiticus”

At the ETF book exhibit, to my surprise and glee, I discovered a complete, exact faximile of the great document.

Here, I enjoy this important volume in the rector’s office.
