Chapter 7 of Anatomy of the Soul is such an instructive chapter of the rearing of children. It gives insights on why we do what we do and how we can get a handle on our reactions. As such, it is hope filled!

When Advent began I started reading a Psalm a day and copying select Psalms as a supplement to the M’Cheyne reading plan. Today I reached 27.

God has used this Psalm, particularly the first words as a salve to my soul when I’m feeling weak:

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Be strong by looking to Him who is your strength!
