The Nemeth men and I were held up at the border between Serbia and Bosnia on Saturday. I bravely/stupidly took this pic secretly from the back seat (I’ve not forgotten Mario at THE border).

They saw the three passports (HU, Serb and USA) and asked where we were going and they held us up for 45 minutes (that’s just about how late we were). Here they are…

Not only did they ask for all Laci’s papers but they looked through all the stuff in the car and wanted to know if we had professional camera equipment. No, they were told.
They really drug their feet in ‘detaining’ us. But in one sense, it worked out okay because Laci found the live radio broadcast of the funeral on the radio… When I get home, I’m gonna create a nine minute or so film about the experience and post it. The netbook has not the technology for such an editing endeavor.

It was a very powerful experience.

I’m in Szeged this morning. Szeged is the city in which the vision for CEO was nourished. It is good to visit a favorite place. Too bad Z Nagy is closed on Monday. Well, at least now Laci will not covet.

we loaded up in Shadowfax at 5 am and drove south through Serbia to Bosnia… we were detained for 45 minutes at the border (we think on purpose because of where we were going – they asked, we told the truth… ) before being allowed across the bridge into Bosnia. When we got to Screbrenica we were in a line that must have been 4 km. Finally, we got to the cemetary after missing most of the speeches… this is a sample… when I get to some broadband, I will post some film and link here… we must never forget, we must not ignore injustice.

I will be speaking in the Agape Church in Vukovar today. It will be interesting to proclaim the goodness and Grace of God after yesterday’s experience.

14 years ago several thousand men and boys were taken away from their homes and killed… today there will be a funeral for some who have been found and need proper burial… today Laci, his dad and I will be there. I’ll post about it next week.
