Distress

This text resonated with me this morning:

“Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭118:5-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In the last weeks we have seen God bless so many people. 40,000 meals have been sent to people like these. They had no access to food while they were under attack.

God has used his people as his hand and feet. We’re thankful to be part of God’s provision for them.

We are so thankful that our partners are able to provide food and hosing for more than 80 persons long term at the camp.

God’s people are being his hands and feet in Ukraine.

CEO is grateful to help them. We can help them because many, many folks have prayed and given.

Please keep praying.

The gathering is beginning…

Our dear friend and colleague Mark has joined us in Budapest. We’re stocking up on beverages for tomorrow and Saturday’s gathering.

Mark serves CEO as the chair of our Board and is here to hang out with and get to know ministry colleagues.

Thinking longer term…

Thanks be to God, our partners are thinking and praying longer term. In addition to feeding and sheltering those folks who are moving west, longer term provision is also being prepared. My old friend Sergei is organizing the effort and shows us a house being turned into a home.

A home in a village outside Vinnytsia is almost ready for long term housing (a year?) for a family from Mariupil. This is, I hope, a kind of pilot to see how longer term solutions can be found for some of the 10.5 million displaced Ukrainians.

We are honored to be part of this longer term thinking and serving.

Please renew your prayers.

Thank you for praying.

Thank you for staying informed.

Thank you for giving.

30,000

As the war grinds on, our partners are continuing to work around the clock to prepare and deliver meals to the many hungry folks in decimated cities and villages. To date, they have fed over 30,000 people.

Would you pause and thank God for these workers and pray for those in need?

Thank you.
