Good Friday
Jesus said “It is finished” and died. An earthquake shook the ground, rocks and graves split open. The curtain in the temple that separated the holiest place from the common was torn, from top to bottom. The way to God is open. Go to him.

Because of loving obedience…
“For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me; in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.” Heb. 10:4-6 ESV

Restoration is the work of God…
“But let your hand be on the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself! Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name! Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!”
Psalms 80:17-19 ESV

The week before Easter, consider…
“In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 5:7-10 ESV)
