Then you will be confident

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,” Psalm‬ ‭92:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!”

During the later 1st century, the Letter to the Hebrews was written to give strategy for difficult times. The writer’s strategy? Hold on to Jesus! No matter what comes. That is a timely message for us today. The writer gives a benediction near the end. On this Easter in 2020, I think it appropriate…

“But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.” (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)” Ephesians‬ ‭4:7-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
