When anxiety grips…
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”Psalms 118:1-9 ESV

Today: Don’t panic. Fear Not… don’t be like this guy…
Dwell in God’s Word and be encouraged…
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 ESV
“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant. Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”Psalms 86:15-17 ESV
“Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!” Psalms 57:5 ESV
Aim at Heaven, get earth thrown in; aim at Earth, get neither! (CSL)
On this day, as you scratch your head in disbelief at Earth, do not fear, do not be angry, look to our great God!

the glory of sunrise in the city, like all glory, belongs to God…
“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”
Psalms 115:1 ESV

Let us be careful in how we think and speak about others, lest we give ourselves too much credit.
“I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?”1 Corinthians 4:6-7 ESV
If you think you are not prideful, you are very prideful indeed. – C S Lewis (paraphrased)
