no more pain, no more sorrow

This is what we believe from Scripture, that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and that when we leave this earth in death there will be no more pain and no more sorrow, that as leave this earth we are changed and are in the loving presence of God.

In the last week two people I know have left this earth, one was Elizabeth, my age and the mother of a dear friend of our family. The other you might have been praying for, little Emi. She went to be in the presence of Jesus about an hour and a half ago.

Now is the time to pray for those left behind. In one case, a husband and two adult children. In the other, a mom and dad, sister and brother and in each case many many more.

At Elizabeth’s funeral yesterday there were more than 500 in attendance to celebrate her life. A life of giving to others.

Emi’s blog (which has kept thousands informed and praying) has had tens of thousands of hits and views in its short existence as people read this story. So many people across Hungary offered their blood that the doctors asked the family to stop the appeal.

Clearly these two souls were dearly loved.

Again, now is the time to pray for the families of Elizabeth and Emi, two different situations to be sure, but both families in need of our prayers as they grieve.

Please keep praying.

  1. Praying for the families during this difficult time. So sad to hear about Emi; I’ve been following the blog. When I was a kid my youngest brother died of cancer so I know how it is to be part of a grieving family in that way. Praying for them.
