I just read a Newsweek story on Billy Graham that really resonated with me at a time when I am concerned more about spirituality than politics…
I recommend this article… you do not have to agree with everything, BUT… you should think about the issues it raises… go and read…

spiritual disciplines continued…
so far these are the simple things i’m learnin’ as i travel the journey of the spirital disciplines:
– solitude must be found
– silence is necessary
– prayin’ needs to be focused and it should be simple… I have found that prayer journaling really helps me focus…
today i read something like this… pray like you are about to die…
whoa, but… think about it… pray with the urgency that
a) you know prayer works and
b) that this is your last prayer…
so… about what, and with what intensity will you pray in this case…
Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me and fill me with your peace…

Ukraine time line
If you don’t get my rant from Friday and wish to see a pretty good time line that may help you ‘get it’ click here. It’s from the BBC.

tHE dEVIL wEARS pRADA
just saw it… interesting… able, smart midwestern girl faces choices about success over people in NYC… or… an “N” enters the world of “S” and struggles with being a “P” or a “J”… younger daughter tells me that her friends who have read the book were not crazy about the movie (it’s not a film, sorry, there don’t seem to be films out right now)… I went expecting a “chick-flik” (so sorry about using that, but I must within the context), which it was… but it was also about making right choices and being sucked in and about the end justifies the means… so go see it if you can, it was worth it…
did I post about Pirates???? saw that last week… entertaining….
so part of this vacation has been going to movies….
saw Superman Returns yesterday… it was fun… seems they went to great lengths to make it look like a comic book at times and real at other times… kinda cool… very entertaining…
if you must choose between these three movies, see Devil… that’s my opinion…

Was the Revolution Orange or Red?
SO the Ukrainian president has caved in (click the link and check out the look on his face, Pres. Yuchecnko is on the right) and has appointed his nemesis to be the new PM (that’s Prime Minister)… BBC has the news… I’m just gonna rant…
Many of my friends really thought Yuchecnko (I hope that’s misspelled) was the real deal… but it became clear pretty soon that he wasn’t…
so hundreds of thousands of noble Ukrainian citizens braved the cold for what????? more of the same it seems….
so now the “pro-western” president has given the reigns of government to his pro-Russia former rival… so who won the race a couple of years ago? it seems both of these guys did and most of the Ukrainian people who placed their hope in Yuchenko lost… where is Yulia anyway?
sorry about ranting… I guess I broke rule one…
oh, Yanikovich received a big bunch of RED roses…
