Why do we have enemies? Because its easier to live in our anger and frustration than to deal with it. You and I are a mess and need God. When we understand that true change happens when we ask God to help us that we can really ‘get it’. When we give up and let God in, THAT is when He can change us and help us love. It is only through the power of God that we can live like disciples.

It was great to be worshiping in this beautiful former Roman Catholic Church (early 1900s?)which has a period of time as a RLDS place and is now a multipurpose place which is the center for a community of followers of Jesus who are moving into and reclaiming this neighborhood. Even the municipality is giving them vacant lots which they are turning into vegetable gardens! Go read John 13:35-36. http://bit.ly/l4FOLl

Sweet Anna and I arrived in KC last night. We are here primarily to be here for the wedding of our dear friend Arden to her beloved Paul. But we came early to learn about what God is doing here in Kansas City. I’ll be tweeting from different things we attend. We are here to sit in God’s lap. Tweets will roll down the right column… More blog posts I’m sure to come cuz I’ve been curious about the Lord’s work here for a while.

One very important question about the whole Prayer Room movement is the biblical basis. When one follows the singers and musicians in the time of Israel through 2 Chronicles one discovers that David set in place a tradition of praise to God. Paul tells us to pray without ceasing and so the 24/7 movement of musicians lifting up praises and leaders and people lifting up prayers strategically for the world is both biblical and important. As I watch these young people using their musical talents (which are pretty amazing) I can imagine worshipers in the presence of the Ark doing the same. Thanks be to God!
