a room with a view

since I’ve been laid up the last few days (better today, thanks for praying) I have become more familiar with the view from Joanna’s living room window. I look over (like right now) and see an elderly fellow who just today got a new shade installed puttering around on his balcony, and a girl mopping an elderly lady’s balcony, and another older fellow looking out his window having a smoke… all very interesting when you don’t feel like doing much else… Here is the view…

on the other side of that building is a major thoroughfare with lots of ambulances running up and down all day and night long… to the right and way down at ground level and below are Roman ruins… can you tell I’m getting a little cabin fever?

South Africa scenes

well, since I’m laid up for a couple of days, and the fever is gone… I will post a couple of pix from South Africa… note the new header… in the middle horizontally is a “township”, inside which, live a sea of humanity for whom He came to give life… what is your role for bringing justice? the Gospel?

the landscape

Rising early yielded this view

we saw this plant growing everywhere, aloe is it?

S.A. is twice the size of Texas… the views were often amazing

The farms would be rightly called ranches.

Here I am at the southern most tip of Africa… note the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet…

back in Bp

I am now recovered from the exhausting trip back north and am thawing out in the 97 degree warmth of Budapest. Unfortunately, I have come down with a bit of a physical malady that has me in my bed. I am so glad all the possible final trips hither and yon were scratched and I am in Joanna’s flat, not some room somewhere. God is good, all the time. It’s times like this that we are reminded to give thanks for all things. Would you please pray for the Lord to lift me from this illness??? Thanks

On a lighter note This week is throw a way stuff week here in this section of Obuda (N. Budapest). I returned to find huge piles of junk and trash piled up all over the place. Check this out…

trunk anyone? get me outta that box!
