Live Nativity

Each December Covenant School holds a live nativity. It is the same live nativity that was once held on public space but outlawed in a landmark court case. So tonight while kids, parents and teachers dressed up as Magi, shepherds, Mary and Joseph stand among sheep, goats and a llama (yes, a llama) I got to read the Christmas story to Silent Night by Manheim Steamroller. A great tradition indeed.

thankful

In this, now very complicated, season, I urge us to take a moment and think and be thankful, to God, for family, for the breath you just took, for your heart that just beat and for the fact that you are deeply loved and cherished, by God, with an unconditional love. We should cultivate hearts of gratitude.
