the view from my window

This has been what I see out the window of my room at Father’s House. This has been a profitable week in Ukraine. I’m off to Budapest this afternoon. The sun has broken through finally and brought us a new perspective. The Son is like that, you know, He makes all things new.

From Sabbath:

“The sun breaking in on a cloudy winter Seattle (Kyiv) winter day can be received as a anice break from the gloom or as something more. It can be engaged as a breaking in of a goodness that gives a taste of God’s invisible qualities (Rom. 1:20). We see the character of God whenever we are grateful.” (p.140)

Seek gratitude.

worth thinking about

an honest, probing question:

“If we were to pray today for our enemies, who do you most hope to be united with on this earth? And who do you most hope not to see until heaven?”

from Sabbath, p. 112
