Real Prayer

Real prayer is princely work (A. Whyte).
It is hard work.
It takes great training and much practice before one attains toward mastery.
It is often not comfortable until it becomes an organic act of the sanctified soul and then the pray-er knows the joy that comes in dwelling with God.
It becomes (as Lewis puts it) like breathing, then the blessing pours out and oneness, true abiding in Christ envelops you and gives you peace.
Do we really pray?
Do we dare?
Are we willing to do the hard work?
Dare we think of ourselves as His followers and not pray? Not speak and listen to He who we claim to follow?
