the conscience of governments

28 years ago, governments protested and boycotted the Olympics in the USSR… the cold war enabled the USA to forego the Olympics… but China, on the other hand is entangled with the USA’s finances pretty deeply… can the globalized ecomomies afford to stand on principle again? doubtful, very doubtful.
