in my role as a minister of the gospel, i am called upon from time to time to help a family during a death in the family…

today i have been doing that… i invested some time listening to a family who has lost a loved one…

they described thier loved one and told stories of thier relationship…

i am humbled by this question: what will my loved ones say when i am gone?

the ramifications of this question speak to how i invest my life in people now… we should all slow down, and ask ourselves: (not to get great kudos then [or now] but to evaluate our life calling NOW)

What could/would they say when i am gone?

this thought drove me to some scripture that should challenge us all… 2 Cor 5

so at lunch yesterday i was talkin to Da-viid about my tea bag thing as i continue to think about “doing verses being”…

and i thought about the other day when I went to lunch with friends… you know how in a self serve drink place when you go to the drink machine and push the button and you get water…? you know? well… they had TWO CHOICES!!! water and SODA!!!! I was pretty excited… cuz in eastern europe when you buy water you choose between carbonated and plain mineral water… I LOVE the carbonated water… but is there a real point to the carbonation other than drinking fizzy water??? and not this , after you open it, the fizz fades away…

so, i was discussing this tea bag think that i haven’t let go of yet… and it hit me… until i learn to stop and be… I will be like the bottle of carbonated water whose top is loose (yes, I know my top is loose, I get that already) and the next day you have plain mineral water… the fiz is gone… hmmm…

tea on the other hand has a permanant change…

the new router arrived!!! my dsl is back up!!!! posting from home again!!!!!

Okay, being and doing… on the journey we need to make sure we are going the right way… regularly…

the spiritual disciplines help with this…

Think of making a cup of tea with a tea bag… you pour the boiling water OVER the bag and then let the bag sit in the cup…

I need to be the boiling water sitting in the cup… allowing the tea bag to change my taste, appearance and scent…

note… the posts to which the links take you are out of true time sequence so as not to interrupt current posts

my wireless router is sending out signal and my laptop receives the signal well… I get an EXCELLENT reading…

but there is nothing in the signal…

how often do we get excellent signals from the culture? loud and clear! that are really about NOTHING?

I haven’t had internet at home since saturday last 😦

I’ve spent about five hours on the phone with my internet provider, all nice, patient, folks who had different levels of understanding and approaches to solving my problem…

The latest solution is a new modem, the heart of my dsl system, is needed…

it seems the company is sending the signal clearly… and as far as they are concerned, I sould be surfing… getting and using the information to make life easier and better… but… no such luck…

the latest theory is that I have a bad modem… so a new modem is in the mail…

its like humans… if the heart isn’t right the message can’t get through…

God, please give me a good heart to hear so I can be used by you!
